Top Tips for the Week

• Before the deadline, talk to the people you’d like to be roommates with to ensure that you’ve all completed the same application type - Walker Avenue or Residential Life. Group members’ application types must all match, or your risk being split up.
• Before you sign your license, review the proposed housing and meal plan rates - your license is a contract, and you’ll be responsible for all of its terms once you sign it.
• Don’t forget to hit SUBMIT on your application before 5PM on April 1, 2022.

Important Notice | Walker Housing Selection Application Update

At this time the Walker Housing Selection Application is closed. Due to limited space and high demand at Walker Avenue, only the first 500 students to who fully submitted their Walker Avenue Housing Selection Application, License & $200 Reservation Fee were eligible to participate in Walker selection.

If you haven't already applied and you want to be guaranteed housing for the upcoming year, you are invited to complete the Residential Life Housing Selection Application (umbc.edu/go/housing) by 5PM on April 1, 2022. Residential Life Housing Selection provides students with the opportunity to select from available Residential Life apartments, suites, and halls. Learn more about our communities.

If you are only interested in and/or eligible for Walker Avenue housing, do not submit a Residential Life Housing Selection Application. Instead, we recommend that you complete the Housing Interest Application (waitlist) on April 6, 2022. Once submitted, you will be added to a housing waitlist. Waitlist offers will be made throughout the summer and into the academic year, as space permits.

If you complete the Residential Life Housing Selection Application, you cannot complete the Housing Interest Application or request to be on a Walker waitlist without formally cancelling your housing license.
